Meeting notes
Status: Ultimate document version will be done when Blair gives Phill back
new examples and he (Phill) incorporates those into the document. Should be
next week or the one after.
Ian's process hints (thanks Ian!):
- There are some new documents to help us, "how to transition to
recommendation" which is the best current guideline; http://www.w3.org/2003/05/Transitions
(w3c member access controlled)
- Need 2 implementations of each feature; issues:-
- Documenting entry & exit criteria; best reports like xml sig;
maybe use message digest protocol as template or xml
protocol/soap
- Identify features (matrix) and "features at risk" - must be
identified on entry to CR, will draft feature-list to list
- Test suite?? Good to try get volunteers, but maybe just an Internet
service is ok
- Maybe an interop event
- "Transitions" things
- Document requirements mapping to last call (maybe point at mail
archive for Frederick's review of this)
- Dependencies on us from other groups (DSS - have reviewed)
- Review evidence (issues list and issues addressed)
- Objections reported (DOM as example)
- Implementation - see above; maybe try to get two conformant
implementations
- Patent page - check if update needed; maybe send call to list
- Request is a mail to director ; for CR lists all the above;
estimated length of CR period (check with list)
- Thanks to Ian for the IRC log of this meeting minutes
Interop scheme - go for event or over the net? At present we're not
looking for a face to face interop event, but will review if many
implementations turn up. That kind of puts an onus on server implementers to
make their server available (either over the net or in source/installable
form).
