Description
Cambridge Semantics offers the Anzo software suite is a semantic middleware platform and set of tools that enable non-technical users to build solutions leveraging the power of the W3C Semantic Web standards.
There are three products in the Anzo suite:
- Anzo Data Collaboration Server – Semantic middleware that is the cornerstone of the Anzo suite. A semantic-standards-compliant environment for connecting systems and storing/accessing data. The Anzo Server provides for security, real-time messaging between data sources and users, a triple store that maintains an auditable history, and client APIs in Java, JavaScript, and .Net. The Anzo Server is based upon the OpenAnzo project.
- Anzo on the Web – A Web visualization tool with which non-technical users can create mashed-up views of any data accessible through the Anzo Data Collaboration Server. Anzo on the Web supports semantic lenses that match themselves with data, automatically providing appropriate views to users depending on the type of data they are working with.
- Anzo for Excel – A plug-in for MS Excel that enables Excel spreadsheets to be mapped to an ontology and the data within the spreadsheets to be stored as RDF in the Anzo Server. Anzo for Excel is also a visualization tool for data retrieved via the Data Collaboration Server from other sources, effectively turning Excel into a standard user interface for any RDF data (or other data that can be connected to the server). Lastly, Anzo for Excel enables non-technical Excel users to create standards-compliant ontologies from within Excel.
All of the Anzo software products leverage semantic standards including RDF, SPARQL, RDFS, OWL, and RDFa.
