We can see that:
- Web services are of interest to a lot of people, with widely different
needs
- The more technologies we get in the pictures, the more intertwingled
everything is
Lessons that we are (re)learning now that the hype has calmed down:
- Standardization uncovers new requirements and issues that take time to
resolve
- Architecture work is needed to make sure that all the pieces fit
together
- Coordination is necessary between all the standardization efforts
