the needs of organisations represented?
(Short presentation on ORA needs?)
What are the most important technical
points for the web which need to
be resolved now? Which points are
related? What are the most pressing?
Collecting questions only, no technical
answers.
Break
Coodinating future work: models
for collaboration, consortia, etc.
Afternoon
Existing discrepancies: ironing out
implementation differences, in HTTP
and HTML.
Thursday
Maybe break into groups separately
for morning and afternoon sessions.
Select topics from this list and
the result of the brainstorming dependent
on the expertese we have in the workshop,
and on priorities expressed on Wednesday.
- Server reliability: duplicated servers, etc
Quality of service.
- HTML+. In Dave ragget's Unfortunate
absence, discussion of the outstanding
points.
- Web-Wanders and global indexes: coordination
between indexers.
- Authentication and Accounting. PEM
vs others.
- Annotation, news and mail. Scaling
annotation schemes. Merging with
news.
- Naming schemes (URNs and machinery
behind them). Next steps, transition
plan to large-scale URN use.
- Style sheet mechanisms
- Negotiation of document representations,
character sets, etc in HTTP
- Interactive objects
- Software needs of Internet service
providers
Report back from groups. Chose topics

Informal workshop dinner, venue to
