Face-to-Face Meeting April 2006 – Logistics

A Face-to-Face meeting of the ITS Working Group has been scheduled for April 18th, 19th and 20th 2006, in Oxford, UK.
This meeting will be kindly hosted by Sebastian, at the Oxford University Computing Services.

Objective

The purpose of this meeting is to work on the Internationalization Tag Set documents, mostly to get the Specification document ready for the Last Call working draft.

Travel Information

The Oxford University Computing Services offices are at the center of Oxford. Not far from the point where St-Gilles splits into Banbury Rd and Woodstock Rd.

London Heathrow and Gatwick airports are linked to Oxford by The Airline coach service, which operate a direct frequent service twenty-four hours a day. London Stansted airport is linked to Oxford by the National Express 757 coach, running every two hours. For information telephone 08705 747777.

Train

A frequent direct service operates between Oxford and London Paddington (approximately every 30 minutes), and between Oxford and Birmingham New Street via Banbury and Coventry.

Other services operate from the north via Birmingham New Street; from the South via Reading; and from the west via Didcot or Reading.

Coaches

• Frequent 24-hour direct services connect Oxford with London (peak times every 10-20 minutes).
• The Oxford Espress service includes Victoria Coach Station, Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch, Baker Street/Gloucester Place and Hillingdon. (tel: 01865 785410).
• The Oxford Tube service includes Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch, Notting Hill Gate, Shepherd's Bush, and Hillingdon (tel: 01865 772250).
• For information on coaches to other major cities and airports contact National Express (tel: 08705 808080). Coaches arrive at Gloucester Green Coach Station.

Attending the meeting

The meeting is open to members of the ITS Working Group, as well as those participating in the W3C I18N Working or Interest Groups.

No lunches will be provided. There are a wide choice of restaurants around the offices.

There will be a WiFi network we will be able to use.
