W3C and Intel collaboration brings HTML5 Introduction course offering
The W3Cx MOOC training is a W3C initiative that started in June 2015. In just over six months, nearly 200K people enrolled in our HTML5 courses and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Building on these successful results, W3C is proud to strengthen its online course offering on edX with an HTML5 course at the beginners level. W3Cx and Intel Corporation, put together the “HTML5 introduction” course to encourage more students to enter the Web programming world.
Taught by Intel experts, this course presents the basic building blocks of Web design and style, using basics of HTML5 and a few CSS features - the fundamentals for building modern Web sites. HTML5 Introduction is a 6 week course to start on 4 April 2016. We encourage future Web developers to see the course intro video and to enroll soon. This introductory course nicely completes the "Learn HTML5 from W3C" XSeries group of three courses - all are open for registration:
- HTML 5 Introduction offers the basics of HTML5 to start writing your first Web page or site - starts 4 April 2016
- HTML 5 Part 1 is an intermediate level course requiring basic HTML5 and CSS knowledge - starts 16 May 2016
- HTML Part 2 offers advanced techniques for creating apps and games - starts 27 June 2016
The HTML5 Introduction course allows participants to earn a verified certificate of achievement and as such be eligible to join the W3Cx Verified Students LinkedIn Group.
