Publishing WG Telco, 2018-02-26: WAM and Affordances' task forces

Affordances Task Force

A separate task force on Affordances is set up, led by Jasmine Mulliken and Mateus Teixeira. It should first propose what exactly should be in the document for each task force (see also issue 143), and then address each affordance. The Use Case document should also be considered, as well as the (major) accessibility aspects.

Note that the goal is to concentrate on the publishing specific aspects only.

WAM Task Force

A separate task force on the relationship to the WAM is set up, led by Romain Deltour and Benjamin Young. The goal is to decide what should be added/modified on the WAM to make it viable for publishing, what aspects could be reused directly, initiate discussions with the WAM editors and the corresponding Working Group, as well as with the TAG. This TF will not (yet) look into the exact serialization of the manifest, though it may morph into it later.

Miscellaneous

• The WG members should continue finding further feedbacks from industry (browser vendors and others). See some feedbacks from the Chrome team (also reflected in issue 150).
• There is a pending PR on progression directions that should be reviewed
• People should put their name on the F2F agenda draft. Information and assistance to hotels should come soon, thanks to Kobo.
