No EPUBCheck, no EPUB!

As the whole digital publishing supply chain knows, there is no EPUB files without EPUBCheck!

Based on an initiative of the Publishing Business Group, EPUBCheck is under revision and first steps have already been accomplished:

• EPUBCheck 4.1.1 is the latest stable version to validate both EPUB 2 and 3 files. EPUB 3 publications are checked against the EPUB 3.0.1 family of specifications. To be used in production. EPUBCheck 4.2.0-alpha-1 is the latest preview version of the forthcoming 4.2.0 version, which will bring support for the EPUB 3.2 family of specifications. For in advance testing only.

But none of this can be brought to its full potential without funds as explained in EPUBCheck fundraising.

To date, almost 20 companies and individuals have provided financial support for the first phases. Thanks to all of them.

But we are still half way to the goal which is to give EPUBCheck long term service for the digital publishing industry.

Now it is time for another round table, and even if small, your contribution will bring the fulfillment of the goal!
