I am Vidhi Patel, a part of a small-scale institution running in India, enforced with the aim of changing the education system of today especially of India. We have a small school and we would like to bring few concepts from all around the globe to enhance studies and education. Guys i would like to get few reviews and suggestions so that my small effort trying to change the education system does not go in vain. I know it would be like a drop of water (my school) contributing to change the whole ocean’s (education system). I know its hard but let us go hand in hand to achieve my goal.

I’m launching a research effort with the goal of supporting education and training professionals transitioning from eLearning to mLearning by providing a mobile learning framework and catalog of microstrategy examples for thinking more deeply about their systematic design processes and mobile-specific affordances (e.g. using GPS for location-based and contextual learning) as part of your instructional design strategy.
The target audiences for this needs analysis are instructors, instructional designers, learning content developers, training professionals, and human performance improvement experts with an interest in implementing mobile learning solutions. The target audience is not required to have any prior experience with mobile development. However, the target audience should at least own one mobile device, and have an understanding of using mobile applications for learning. The researchers for this project intend to collaborate with and involve experts and stakeholders from academia, government, industry, and the international community.
Please let me know if you’re interested in participating, as we will begin conducing focus groups, interviews, and administering surveys, as part of the initial needs analysis in February 2013. Also, please forward this on to anyone that you think might also be interested. Thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you! For more information, visit the announcement here from ADL:

I am Ahmed and I am the founder and principal consultant of Solea Research, a small software consultancy and R&D firm in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. One of our areas of focus is e-learning which is facilitated by our experience in web application development. I personally became interested in learning long ago through personal reflection that was the result of questioning the status quo of the educational system. I started reading about problem-based learning, experiential learning as well as other theories and tools.
With the advent of technology, I believe that the power it brings can be harnessed to improve learning in the digital sphere without ignoring the cognitive processes and the psychological factors that make us human learners.
I look forward to getting this group off the ground to foster a discussion that will enrich our understanding of e-learning.
Hi All! Maybe a good way to get started with this group is to introduce ourselves, what we do, our interests and experiences in Accessibility and Distance Learning, and why we joined this group.
Hi, I’m Karla. I am an Instructional Designer for Distance Learning and Instructional Media Services at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. My interest in accessibility and assistive technology began while I was an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University and developed through a series of research, employment, and continuing education opportunities. My personal and professional interests in accessibility now have to do with web accessibility and the accessibility of distance learning. I’ve joined this group for many reasons, I am always looking for new resources and research into the accessibility of distance learning and am now beginning to look at mobile learning.
I am very excited to be a part of this group and collaborate with each of you. I hope that we will be able to accomplish a lot in this group as the field of e-learning continues its rapid growth.
