including the W3C@30 anniversary gala for in-person participation
(no fee for remote participation).
The fees for participants, observers and guests are as follows:
In-person participation
Early Bird rate – until 15 July (23:59 UTC):
USD 360 [Rate limited to the first 4 persons
of a given organization]
Standard rate – until 31 August (23:59 UTC):
USD 660
The TPAC 2024 participation fees will be waived for all W3C
Invited Experts. You will not be asked to pay for the fees once you
completed the TPAC registration form.
For all other TPAC attendees
We understand that not everyone can afford the TPAC registration fee
for a variety of reasons and we do not want any of these to be a
barrier to participation.
For that reason, we make available an unlimited number of fee waivers
to remote and onsite participants. The fee waiver operates on a trust
basis, making no checks on eligibility. If you are planning to
participate in person or remotely and cannot afford the registration
fee, please contact [email protected]
to benefit from the fee waiver before filling in the
registration form.
We will allow people to switch their registration from on-site to
remote, and vice versa, while retaining the same class of
registration. (i.e., early bird on-site will convert to early bird
remote, and vice versa).
If you need to cancel your registration to the event, refunds will be
subject to a cancellation fee (which will vary depending on the
registration fee and type of credit/debit cards).
To modify and adjust the fees or cancel your registration, contact [email protected].
66% of the world is now online. We want and need to reflect the
diversity of the whole world as more people continue to access, use
and create the web. We believe that more diversity means better
representation, which leads to better and more inclusive design, and
brings higher quality results.
Sponsoring the TPAC Inclusion fund
Sponsors this year are W3C, Igalia, Tetralogical and an
anonymous donor.
We would like W3C to be a model of supporting diversity and
inclusion. As an international organization, we can see the immense
value we gain from having greater gender diversity, and expertise from
across multiple countries and cultures. The diversity of the whole
world needs to be reflected.
Started in 2018, and sponsored by W3C Members and individuals from
the W3C community, the TPAC inclusion fund has financially helped 2-7
TPAC attendees every year. You can read more about the
TPAC Inclusion fund & diversity at W3C.
If you or your organization wishes to become a sponsor, please write
to [email protected].
Purpose of the Inclusion fund
The TPAC Inclusion fund aims to help remove barriers for people
from a group that is under-represented in the web community, who are
unable to attend TPAC without financial help, and who want to attend
or contribute to TPAC in a meaningful way.
Contributing in a meaningful way may include:
Running a breakout session
Writing documentation or tests
Preparing documents such as explainers or drafts for discussion
Reviewing a group’s work and preparing comments for discussion
Examples of what the Inclusion fund might help cover:
Technology to enable participation or to participate more
effectively online, conferencing equipment such as microphone,
headset, camera
Co-working space if you don’t have room at your office or home
Bandwidth - portion of monthly charge for number of days an
individual attends meetings
Travel to TPAC (minding advance reservation to secure economical
fares)
Accommodation costs (minding the hotel room black deadline)
